Mariam Sobh - Reporter

 

 

 

Mariam Sobh joined IRN as a reporter and anchor in 2006. Previously she was an intern at WBEZ-FM in Chicago and a news anchor for WILL-AM in Urbana.

Mariam got her start in radio when she began volunteering for Illinois Radio Reader, a service for the visually impaired. While in college she worked as a reporter and anchor for WPGU-FM and eventually became news director and a music DJ at the station. She has a bachelors in speech communication and a masters in journalism from the University of Illinois. She lives in Chicago.
