Melissa Hahn - Springfield Bureau Chief

 

 

 

Award-winning reporter Melissa Hahn joined the network’s Capitol Bureau in 2006.  She began her journalism career at the student newspaper while earning her associate's degree at Illinois Valley Community College, and during that time interned at the local television station.  She then added radio to her resume while working on her bachelor's degree at Southern Illinois University – Carbondale. Melissa has worked at several radio and television stations over the years, and served as Legislative correspondent for WGN-AM in Chicago.  She most recently served as Statehouse reporter for WICS-TV/WICD-TV in Springfield/Champaign.  She also spent nearly 10 years in media relations and budget offices for the State of Illinois. Melissa lives in Springfield.
